- At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) this year, OnLive debuted their OnLive Desktop product. This is basically a Windows 7 cloud desktop that runs on the iPad (and soon Android devices). This cloud desktop has Microsoft Office available as well as a few other applications. Files can be shared to your desktop by using OnLive Files. - Amazon is the leader of public Infrastructure as a Service cloud offering. Amazon has long had a free Linux tier to try out AWS, but now Amazon is really trying to capture the Microsoft Windows crowd by offering a free instance of Windows Server for a year. - VMware Tools installation problems? Try this.

- In order to be able to make full use of your VMware implementation, whether it’s a vSphere install Workstation or Fusion, you really need to install VMware Tools inside each virtual machine that you create. At times, you may receive an error that starts with “Error 1316.
