SQL Server 2005 Mirroring and Replication Caveats

If you work in a Citrix Presentation Server environment, you are most likely familiar with the Citrix IMA Data Store. The Data Store is a central repository in the form of a Database Server for all the configuration settings in your Citrix Presentation Server farm. For larger Presentation Server farms, it is a best practice to build in a certain level of redundancy in the components that make up the farm. One of these levels of redundancy should be the Data Store. If you use Microsoft SQL Server 2005 as the Database Platform for your Data Store, be sure to check out the Citrix article titled ” SQL Server 2005 Mirroring and Replication Caveats“. In this article, Citrix describes some of the new features of Microsoft SQL Server 2005, and how they will or will not work in for Data Store redundancy.
