How to get a Microsoft Hotfix without having to call Microsoft
Picture this, you are troubleshooting an issue with your Microsoft Terminal Server. While looking on http://support.microsoft.com you find the exact issue you are experiencing only to find the text “A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem … to resolve this problem immediately, contact Microsoft Product Support Services to obtain the hotfix. For a complete list of Microsoft Product Support Services telephone numbers and information about support costs, visit the following Microsoft Web site…”
So, now you have to call Microsoft, describe the issue and article number so Microsoft can assign a ticket number, then Microsoft will email you the hotfix.
Stefano Demiliani writes in his blog that “you now can obtain a hotfix without having to interact with a single soul ( no phone calls etc.. ) Easy and convenient.
Take for example my previous post for the netlogon DCR - 928576 which doesn’t even have a public article yet. Try it…
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;...928576
It errors out - no such article.
But - thanks to the Big Brainers ( seriously ) who think about our customers and really do care about their experience .. you can now simply go to this URL and download most any fix
https://support.microsoft.com/contactus2/emailcont...hotfix
You will get a form mail in response, and in it will be a link to the http site you can download the fix from.
Man — this makes life SOOOO much easier for a lot of folks.”

Followed your link and apparently the site has been pulled by Microsoft because all that is there is the following (most frustrating)
Contact Us: Hotfix Request Web Submission Form
This page has been modified. To make sure that you receive the correct hotfix quickly, initiate the request process by clicking the online submission link in the Microsoft Knowledge Base (KB) article that references the hotfix you want. You can start by looking up the KB article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base search page at http://support.microsoft.com/search/?adv=1.
Any other suggestions?
