High color icons for Citrix Presentation Server applications
Aaron Parker recently posted an article detailing a new feature of Citrix Presentation Server 4.5 - high color icons. Believe it or not, this has been a request for a lot of Citrix users for a long time. It’s great to see that this “functionality” has finally arrived. There are quite a few steps to get this working though. Here are the steps:
- Upgrade to Presentation Server 4.5. You won’t get far without out this so hopefully you’re thinking about this upgrade or have upgraded already;
- Download and install the last Access Management Console;
- Install Hotfix Rollup Pack PSE450W2K3R01 - For Citrix Presentation Server 4.5 and Citrix Access Essentials 2.0;
- Update to Web Interface 4.6 for Windows;
- Deploy the Citrix Presentation Server Client 10.1 (This will only work for Web Interface and Program Neighbourhood Agent clients - unfortunately Program Neighbourhood clients will be left out in the cold);
- Enable 32-bit colour icon support (this is the default behaviour) - Farm properties / Presentation Server / General;
- Delete and recreate your published applications.
