Keith Combs recently posted a new article about the new server virtualization features in Windows Server 2008 (WSv). In the article, Keith talks about the Hypervisor, Virtual Machine additions, Snapshots, Management Tools, etc. At the end of the article, there is a nice video that walks you through the features at a high level. Here is a little of what Keith has to say:

Our hypervisor, code named “Viridian”, is an installable Windows Server 2008 role. After installation of this role, you can start installing one or more child partitions in which to run your virtualization workloads. Installation of those virtual machines is fairly straight forward although there are some things you need to be aware of.
