Oracle snuffs out Virtual Iron after buying them
Just last month, software giant Oracle purchased Virtual Iron. Apparently, Oracle only wanted pieces of the company (like the VM management) as Oracle has killed the brand by firing all but 10 Virtual Iron employees. Also, just this week, Oracle has closed the Virtual Iron reseller channel. It is yet to be seen how much of the Virtual Iron IP will be integrated into Oracle’s Oracle VM offering.
